Uchtepa was an early medieval village settlement (6th-8th, 10th-early 15th century). It consists of Three Hills located on the site of the “furniture” store in the Oqtepa square. Since there was later development, progress, construction,the hills were flattened. There are now three hills, namely: Wasik ota Hill, Uthman ota Hill, inspiration ota Hill. Uchtepa district was formed on September 15, 1977. It was originally called Akmal-Ikramovsky district. It was decided to change the name to Uchtepa on May 6, 2005. In the North and Northeast, Uchtepa district borders Shaykhontohur district, in the east and South with Chilonzor district, and in the west with Zangiota District of Tashkent region. Bozsuv and Karakamish channels flow through the territory of the district. There are 481 streets in Uchtepa district, the main ones being Lutfi Street, Mannon Uyghur Street, Farhad Street, Oystrohat Street, Faziltepa Street, Nazarbek Street, Beshkaragach Street and Little Halka Yuli Street (Little Ring Road). Uchtepa district has preserved the archaeological monument of Foziltepa (5th-10th centuries) from MU'mori monuments of Republican significance, the complex “Sopon ota” (17th century), the mosque of Saidvaqqos from the object of local cultural heritage, etc. The district has: 50 public preschools, 32 public Comprehensive Schools, 1 public comprehensive school specialized in foreign languages under the Ministry of public education, 1 Private School, 1 school for children of the perfect generation, 5 colleges, 1 higher education institution, 2 Children-Youth Sports School, 3 schools of music and art. The district also has 2 cultural and population recreation centers, 2 culture and Recreation Parks, 1 polling place, 2 youth labour Guzar.
