More opportunities for sport and recreation: landscaping works in the mahallas of Tashkent are continuing

🏓🏟️A number of works on greening, construction of sports and children’s playgrounds, organisation of alleys and improvement of pedestrian walkways have been carried out in the mahallas of Tashkent city, and these works are continuing systematically. Let us focus on a few of them:

📍In the “Bogimaydon” mahalla of Mirzo Ulugbek district, 48 thousand square metres of green area have been created. In addition, 2 stadiums, 9 sports grounds, 20 children’s playgrounds and 2 alleys have been organised. Nearly 6.9 thousand square metres of pedestrian walkways have been repaired.

📍In the “Uysozlar” mahalla of Yashnobod district, 32.5 thousand square metres of area have been greened. For the use of the population, 4 stadiums, 9 sports grounds and 19 children’s playgrounds have been built. In addition, 9,124 square metres of pedestrian walkways have been repaired.

📍In the “Botirma” mahalla of Chilanzar district, 2 stadiums, 15 sports grounds and 17 children’s playgrounds have been created. Nearly 6.8 thousand square metres of green area have been organised and 5,707 square metres of pedestrian walkways have been repaired.

📍In the “Katta Hasanboy” mahalla of Yunusabad district, 2 stadiums, sports and children’s playgrounds as well as an alley have been organised. 6,720 square metres of walkway have been repaired for pedestrians and 1,600 square metres of path have been built for cyclists.

▫️As a result of the work carried out, new opportunities have been created in the mahallas for the population, especially children and young people, to engage in sports, spend family leisure time and make meaningful use of their free time.

✔️These works cover all districts of our capital and are being implemented step by step in every mahalla. Our goal is to create a convenient, safe and barrier-free environment in every residential area of Tashkent for the entire population, regardless of age — from the youngest residents to representatives of the older generation — taking into account their needs and everyday requirements.
