In the late 1990s, a decision was made to construct a new building for the conservatory, which was previously located on Mustaqillik Avenue (Pushkin). The project was prepared by the team of the «Tashgiprogor» institute.

Construction on Batyr Zakirov Street was completed in 2002. The conservatory received 305 classrooms and offices, four concert halls (Grand, Small, Organ, and Chamber), four educational sound recording studios, and a museum of national musical instruments.

The facade is decorated with a semicircular canopy on columns; large open balconies are located on the sides of the building, where rehearsals are often held.

The entrance to the concert hall is located at the rear and is designed as a cylindrical volume with a canopy on columns.

National motifs are clearly visible in the decoration of the building, giving it lightness and a festive appearance.
